The Angry Blonde  answers:  Hi Bob!
I meant it to say "In a Blonde's world, everyone is entitled to my opinion."  In other words, In MY World, the world of The Angry Blonde.

Subject: customer service?

Hey, I love your comments on the meet up site and on your page. I think customer service is a thing of the past, no? How many times have I gone into a store, or a restaurant, and the server, waitress, cashier . . acts as though he/she is doing ME a favor by waiting on me. I mean, would it really be so difficult for them to SMILE? say THANK YOU?

I think maybe it's worse in S Florida than in other parts of the country, but I don't know. Anyway, good luck on your 'crusade'. If you wanna chat, drop a line.

Neil

The Angry Blonde answers

Thank you Neil!  It's refreshing to know that there are others who are fed up with things such as poor customer service.  Sadly, I don't think it's just in our demographic area and it's throughout our country.  And, saying "Thank You"...well, that seems to be quickly becoming a thing of the past.  Thank you for your note and please, email me anytime and look for me on MySpace!

Saw your blog. Very cool. Alas I'm afraid there is no hope. When the cashier at the big box store is asking cash or charge, their cell phone goes , THEY ANSWER, THEY CONVERSE, finish the conversation, then ask cash or credit..........That's when I start talkin'  Chinese. Bless you

The Angry Blonde answers

Thank you so much for your email!  Yes, I know the possibilities of getting through to a lot of people, especially those who are often the subjects of my ranting are pretty slim.  But, does that mean I should just give up?  I figure that if I can make at least one person think about the things they do and make a change for the better, then it'll all be worth it.  And who knows, things like this could have a so-called "snowball effect," where one person makes a positive change and influences someone else positively, and so on.  The world isn't going to change unless we all take an active stand in maing those changes!

Please...keep on reading and keep on writing to me!

These little thieves are a product of our liberal society! "Good Job!" If I hear that one more time I'll scream. Everything kids do today is just fine with their liberal parents. It?s everyone else?s fault, but their precious sociopath. These kids would have benefited from a good smack when they were younger. Now they need a jail. Their future???? Maybe they'll run for president someday. After all, it's ok to lie, cheat and carry on at will. It's been done in the Whitehouse!

Vivian Kirkbride

The Angry Blonde responds:

Thank you Vivian so much for your email! You are SOOOOOO right! Yes, people in general, especially kids, have gotten away with so much in our world today that they take no responsibility for their own actions and the problems begin at home. If there were more discipline, they'd be a lot better off...parents make things too easy for them and they have no idea of what things are like in the real world. Kids live my example....my oh my, what examples they have today! Celebrities who break the law and get away with it, politicians who lie and cheat and receive nothing more then a slap on the wrist...cover-ups of scandals and more. No wonder our world is in so much trouble!

IF THAT WAS MY DAUGHTER SHE WOULD BE GROUNDED 4 LIFE , CAN YOU IMAGINE YOUR GIRL SAYING THAT ON CAMERA ? IM SPEECHLESS OVER THAT AND THE JORAN CONFESSION , IF I WAS NATILEES FATHER NOTHING COULD KEEP ME FROM THAT ASS EITHER

The Angry Blonde responds:

Thank you for your comments Eric, and I agree with you 100%. Those girls involved in the girl scout robbery should be grounded, sadly, it doesn't seem to be the case and their parents are not taking control as we can see by their most recent troubles with the law when they skipped out on a check at a Denny's restaurant recently at 3am. And, if you are referring to the Natalie Halloway case in your other comments, I believe there are things going on beneath the surface that the public hasn't been made aware of yet and that somehow, someone has been paid off.

Your site is pretty cool, the intro. is a bit lengthy but I had to say that I 110% agree w/ you on the church commentary you wrote! My thoughts exactly! I love the person who one year smokes crack then the next quits and is "saved by jesus".... gimme a break! Still reading your other articles. Oh yeah & thanks for the review on Ruth's Chris, been wanting to try it, too. :)

The Angry Blonde responds:

Hi Sara!

Thank you for your feedback!

Yes, I know the intro is long and I'm still in the beginning process of building the site and will be changing some things around...that's one area I do plan on working on, as well as making the movement between pages a lot easier.  I've only launched the site Feb 1st, so there's obviously a lot of work to do.  Please keep reading however and please send me your thoughts, good and bad, as to what I can do to improve things, or perhaps subjects to write about!

Subject: God

being a " good person" has nothing to do with being religious or not. and yes most of what you said is true. being a good person will not get you into heaven, believing that God sent his only son to die on a cross for you and if you believe that and accept Jesus, even on your death bed dying as a criminal, you will spend eternity in heaven, but if you do not you will spend it in hell. being good is only a perk of the blessings you will receive in heaven. God is real, and there will be real consequences and real blessings to each his own in the end. i will pray for you

Your site is GREAT! I am still reading your articles and am impressed! You hit alot of things right on the mark..especially with manners...So many things are tied into manners and if people watched theirs then I am willing to bet that may of the other things which irk us all just wouldn't happen...I missed the notice on on 'create your own parking spot day" too otherwise I would have taken the spot in the middle of the aisle right on front of the restaurant before the other person could! (NOT!!! I have MANNERS!)..Love your site and will be back often!

WOW! Finally, someone wants to tell the truth. I especially enjoyed "Passing Judgement on others". We have all fallen pray to prejudgment, but if you dont realize that it is not a good thing, you are definately going through life blind folded!

Greg from Jupiter, Fl., wrote on 03/29/2009

Well - A new year - A new President - same old story - corruption, greed, and self-interest in Government - Now we have a "rock star" for President who, in addition to dealing with serious issues finds time for The Leno show as well as ESPN to pick the next college basketball champ - what a versatile guy huh?

As he continues to print trillions of dollars and put our grandchildren in hock I wonder - Does he have a clue as to what he's doing. I know - he has Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Chris Dodd to give him input - hmmm ? We're in serious trouble with that group of thieves running our country!!!!!!! Your reply?

The Angry Blonde replies:

Greg...I too am troubled by the amount of debt this country is taking on and have VERY little confidence in Pelosi, Reid & Dodd. In fact, I'd like to slap that smile off of Pelosi's face.  Having one party in control of Congress and the White House is a dangerous thing. Passing legislation by a party line vote, be it Democrat or Republican is NEVER a good thing.

I had hoped we were going to have some sort of national consensus on going forward, but it appears that it is still partisan politics as usual. I give Obama credit for diving in and trying to tackle all the difficult issues, but I think we would have been better off letting the companies that were going to fail, fail and not continue to give them bailout after bailout.

I think that the American people are ready for sacrifice if a plan is properly explained and they perceive that all sides are suffering equally. Right now I think most people are scared and confused and that Obama’s charisma has given him a pass with the public for the time being. That being said, the vitriol being spewed by the likes of Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity is not helping either. I believe that like me, a majority of Americans are tired of it, just like they have no interest in pursuing the members of the Bush administration for crimes committed. They want a healthy economy and jobs so they can sleep at night and not worry that they are losing their homes or unable to feed their families.

We are in uncharted fiscal waters and anything can happen.

Peter from Placerville, CA  wrote Monday, 4/20/09

Regarding politics, I chose neither Obama or McCain. That's a false choice. Both want massive war in the Mideast, big government, high taxes, etc. The real choice would be someone like the founders of this country, who believed in freedom, and power to the people. They respected freedom to think differently from others. Today, Obama says right-wingers are terrorists, and Bush said that left-wing activists were enemy-combatants. So this is what it has come down to - war, no dissent allowed, oligarchy rule, interference with the rights of mankind, and devastating the world opinion of America. Either party harms us. That's why I became a Libertarian. Thank you for your website and for making the comments section available for us dissenters.

What do you like to RANT about?: Politics

The Angry Blonde responds:

Thank you Peter for your comments.

I am neither a Democrat, Republican or Libertarian, I am simply a Woman who is tired of the politics that go on in our world today.  I completely agree with you about the Founders of our country.  However, our country is no longer run as they meant it to be, sure they didn't have everything right, but right now, we've got so much that is VERY wrong.

Some can blame Bush and Cheney, they definitely had a "cocky" attitude about all that they did, but can all the blame be placed on them?  No, I don't think so, just as I don't think all the blame can be placed on the rest of the Republican party OR the Democrats.  It's all of the U.S., especially the greed that some have, that is one of the biggest causes of our downfall.  But on the same note, it's not just the USA, it's happening all over the world.

Until the people, not the millionaires who are't hurting, but the people who work hard every day and still struggle stand up and say they've had enough, I don't see anything changing.  I've had several friends in business who have been forced to close their doors in the past year and I have to say that it is very, very scary.

Where does it all end?
